This is no surprise but the sliding doors we have are in need of something better than the original lock. We have heard this before at our annual meeting from a representative from the Sheriff's Department.
After doing nothing for a year a neighbor took the step to better secure his door. He conferred with our "Safety Team" as well as a Collier Deputy who, at no charge, checked out all locks, windows, and alarms. The "Cal-Lock" was a suggestion to be considered.
A local installer was found and they installed the new locks in about two hours. When locked the door will be secured top the concrete wall and will be very, very difficult to open. We love our Cal-Lock, and have have them for about a year. We also changed the locks on the doors. And don't forget to use your alarm, even if just going across the street..... HOpe you are feeling better
