HAVE A LAUGH

His request approved, the CNN News photographer quickly used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight.

He was told a twin-engine plane would be waiting for him at the airport.

Arriving at the airfield, he spotted a plane warming up outside a hanger.

He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut, and shouted, 'Let's go'.

The pilot taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off.

Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, 'Fly over the valley and make low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides.'

'Why?' asked the pilot.

'Because I'm a photographer for CNN' , he responded, 'and I need to get some close up shots.'

The pilot was strangely silent for a moment, finally he stammered, 'So, what you're telling me, is . . . You're NOT my flight instructor?'

RUNAWAY

Last week the boss said his grandson "ran away". I think the kid was kidnapped and the forced to read those old police books he likes to collect. This neighbor caught the kid at the "Old Guy's" computer with the goods. So why are they off this weekend?

CRUISE TIME

Management is taking the Lady away for a couple of weeks so the Blog will be in the trusted hands of some good neighbors who will keep you posted on family and neighborhood gossip and news. While that is taking place we be visiting St Marteen and Mr. Disney's place. Hope everyone behaves.

A LITTLE ONE TO HELP DO THE PACKING

Help was not expected with regard to packing for our cruise. But, like it or not, Help arrived at our front door.

The kid hasn't had much time on our little blog lately and that seemed to be the only thing she wanted. So the "Old Guy" got the camera and did his thing. She behaved quite well.

The best part of her visit was the goodbyes when her dad came to drag her home. We'll see her in a few.

JERSEY NOISE

Rumors have it that a Jersey gang got together over this past weekend. Although they made some loud noise with Elvis, Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison, they also had quite a good time.

Beer and Hot Dogs helped create the atmosphere of a day at Atlantic City, or some other place nearby. Hopefully this blast is a signal of a good summer ahead.

NEIGHBORS HIT THE HIGH SEAS

When the "Music Man" isn't playing he is enjoying the local waterways with friends. He advised that his gang took a: "A NINE HOUR TOUR" with neighbor Captain Don who guided the group from Marco to Keywaydin Is. via Tin City, Port Royal, plus some excellent dolphin watching.

A wonderful BBQ was enjoyed by all at a Keywaydin beach site.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

It was Barbara Mann Theater time again on Tuesday (14th).

First, let me tell you about the ride to the theater. I thought the Beast was driving when he did one of his vocals about finding a parking spot. There were quite a few, but he would have to walk. Well, walk he did, and a little bit fast when he saw the nice Mercedes parked inside the theater. Enough said !

We got up to our balcony seats with plenty of time. The setting was quite colorful. There were many kids present and they seemed to really enjoy the show. The musicals were great. The place was packed.

In the end the real Beast got transformed and lived happily ever after with his Princess. This Queen got to go home with the other Beast. He really behaved well, so the night out was a good one.

CASINO TRIP AGAIN

The Lady of the House left this morning with a couple of friends and took the ride to the Casino. She left the "Old Guy" at home to deal with an electrician - again.

Well she had some good luck - double digits. That is much better than owing or losing. Now I have to find a way to get her to split the bucks.

Sparky ( The Electrician) was also good. He blamed the last guy who didn't put the connector on correctly, and it came loose. That was good news. Now I must pry some winnings loose to pay the electrician.

BEACH BOYS

It seems like that old group is still around. I remember them from the 60's (actually the 50's but I don't want to admit that I am that old).

It was on April 2 that the "old guy" took us up to the Barbara Mann Theater to see the 2010 version of the "Boy's". The place was packed, but Bruno and a couple of other friends couldn't make it. They would have enjoyed it.

By 9:00 PM the lights flickered and finally the Beach Boys were there. It wasn't exactly as they were, but the sound was still there. John Stamos appeared as a guest and did everything: Guitar, drums, and vocals. He wasn't alone on the songs as the audience also stood and sang their hearts out.

This was a good night.

LEFT OVER FROM EASTER

Do you remember when you went to school and Easter was just a few days ahead. First we got Good Friday off and a great long weekend. That was 'yesterday'. It was also great times.

In today's world the kids got off the entire week before Easter. That's OK for them. Not bad at the grandparents place either. We volunteered to watch the Little Ape for a couple of days. He was no problem.

The surprise was the Monday after Easter. It seems that there was a 'make up' day off for the students. You know what that means. We got volunteered to watch Mario again. He was good, and as always loved being in the picture.

HAPPY EASTER

Today is Easter.

It is the same tradition as last year and maybe the last 40 or more. We get in the car and off to "hook up" with family at someone's house. It used to be at ours, but we can't handle the clean up duties that come later.

It was much easier to just drive a few minutes. Then we could eat, then eat some more. After that we hid some eggs for the little guys who just lapped it up, as they liked the candy inside.

Then after a couple of hours we got to go, and that too was good. HAPPY EASTER Everyone

Thank God your birth was a day sooner. None of us could handle that "April's Fool Garbage."

Today is your day so here are best wishes for you on the big 25th birthday. You don't ever seem to age. That is good as it keeps me young too.

Your a good kid, and nothing is too good for you today. Enjoy it, and this old picture from way back in 2005. The little package in your arms has grown too.

Another Month is on the scene. I can't believe how time is moving along so fast.

Since Dad has his problem remembering all those birthdays I have to either tell him or do it for him. One girl has her day this month, and I will let him give his little girl birthday wishes on her day.
