HAVE A LAUGH

Year's end and that nice neighbor and a friend keep sending bits of humor for us to share with you. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your laugh.
A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. He seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court. The Judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself.

The man replied...
"Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat under a sweets sign that said, "The Double Mint Twins are Coming" and I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said "Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling", and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said "William's Big Stick Did the Trick", and I could hardly contain myself.
BUT, your Honor, when she moved for the fourth time and sat under the sign that said "Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident"..I just lost it.

"CASE DISMISSED!!"

This is the end of the year folks. So first order of business here is Happy Holidays to all.

Next your last observed price for our Pulte Stock is  $21.22.  That would be for the end of December. We remain in the Green.

This also is the End reading on the Stock for the Years, and since we made that original mythical investment of $6.42 per share or $642.00

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas has arrived in VeronaWalk, and we are ready to celebrate.

SHE started before Thanksgiving!!!  My Queen began with the usual: "I don't know what to get this one, or that one !?!"  Drove me nuts.

I let "Her" do all the decorating. I just say Good job (As usual). Take a look at the 500 lights on her Christmas Tree.

It looks great !  She always enjoys decorating, and does a good job!  All I did was take the picture, and eat the chocolate pudding pie.

Stop over, and say, "Hello." That's our house with the purple tree. The man in blue, wearing the Red CERT vest, will be pleased to greet you and tell you. He will also tell you about Dennis' Campaign for a seat on the Board next year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

It was the night before Christmas and all the work is just about done. Soon we will be in bed, and sleep will find us quickly.

The trees (2) are decorated, and the lights are working. The cookies are done. Gifts are around the tree. Did we miss anything?

No. So now is the  time for "Lights Out."

Goodnight Everyone.

NICE TO KNOW STORY REGARDING OUR SHERIFF'S OFFICE

We caught this story from our Sheriff's office.

It's is NICE  TO KNOW that our Deputies have concern for all citizens of Collier Co. An East Naples family can attest to this, having met a thoughtful Collier County Sheriff's Officer recently.

Cpl. Robert Bremer had a chance encounter with a family pictured below. They were in serious need for Christmas.

The Deputy, his family, and other deputies came together to purchase toys and bikes for the girls.

Great job Deputy, and  of course:

Merry Christmas

TAKE A LOOK AT THESE ANIMALS

This is the third group of pictures from our recent get away to Disney. These come from Animal Kingdom.

This is the "Old Guy's" wife's favorite attraction. I like it too.  I just don't like getting up early to catch the animals in a good mood for clicking a picture.

I was well prepared this time out using the special lens that walks right up to the wise old Ape to tickle his chin for me to tell him to grin. The special Kodak 400 film helped too.

Hope you like the pictures. The Ape at the bottom is the Neighborhood Watch guy, and he sure has a lot to look at in this jungle. Catch the pictures of the Cheetah. Never got this close before, and there are two of them.

CITY HALL IN VERONAWALK - POLITICS

Our good friend the Mouse wants to know, "Why is an important meeting being scheduled with minimal notice to residents?" That's what just happened here in "The Walk." They put the meeting notice up late Friday afternoon for a Monday morning meeting.

Mickey is still shaking his head, but at least he still has his smile. He wants to know, "What's on the agenda ?" "Don't they want us to show up for the meeting. Where is the agenda?

Oh yes, here it is. God the ink is still wet. Lets see what's so important.

First they might change their minds about an independent auditor. The Directors previously voted to go along with builders audit. That decision was because the directors wanted to be cautious spending HOA money. But Guys that's the reason you should spend the bucks.  Get an independent review of what is due us.

Second the Directors want to hire an Association Attorney. One of the firms under consideration may have a "conflict of interest." The words "may have" should be enough to go in a different direction when spending our money. At least Mickey thinks so.

Third, and last, subject that caught our eye, was the issue of amenity leases. God guys, be careful who you let "rent" our buildings, and the impact of their business in our community. Its not only about getting the Dollar! At the very least do a criminal and financial record check on proposed vendors.

There goes that head again. Its shaking from right to left so fast I think there may be a tornado in here. Hope Mickey doesn't lose his Hat !

SAM SNEADS A GREAT AFTERNOON

This past Wednesday (12-17) was the annual VeronaWalk Gentlemen's Group luncheon with our significant other. The affair was sold out in 24 hours. That surprised everyone especially the planning committee.

The next surprise was an error in the price. It seems our Coordinator forgot to add in one dollar for dessert. Everyone looked in their budgets and managed to find an extra greenback to cover the pie.

The Ladies took the lead in getting the program up and running. It didn't take long to have everyone singing a Seasonal Song.

Then a Man in a Red Hat appeared, ringing a Bell, and carrying Gifts. This brought about a few laughs, and some tears, but it was the Christmas, and Hanukkah spirit at its best.

Happy Holidays, Everyone !

HO HO HO, THIS IS THE SEASON TO BE RUNNING LIKE CRAZY

Man, Christmas the end of the month and we, like everyone else,  have  got to get going with all those Seasonal  things we do. Lets see the Tree is up, Outside is done (not much), and Airport pick-up is all set. What'
 next?

Part of the planning was to take a few days off and visit our favorite place before Christmas.  That would be Disney.

We stayed at Coronado Springs for three nights and enjoyed all the Parks. We will take a couple days to show most of the pictures.

The shots displayed below are from the "Lights, Camera, Action" stunt show. The new camera sure worked nice, even getting the terrorist on the roof three times as he fell. The guy in that Red Car was  a pretty cool driver too. Catch that guy on fire who fell off his motorcycle. He's hot !

B46, G32, BINGO ! HERE COMES SANTA

Every Wednesday a big gang of VeronaWalk residents buy their cards and look for big cash.

This Wednesday something different happened. In between games a Man in Red appeared. He rang his bells and met with the Bingo Queen to give out some gifts to some twenty lucky residents.

The group also enjoyed some fine Christmas snacks and drink. The pictures show the group that won the  twenty gifts huddled around the tree, while the others show Bingo Players enjoying the evening.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

My Queen did not think I would remember to post something here about our Daughters Birthday.

We were shopping and she saw something for LJ for Christmas and immediately I remembered the 16th is her birthday and maybe we could combine the present with her birthday present. I also recalled seeing it cheaper in another store. I always harp to me wife "check the prices out. It's like get bids on everything and keep the budget under control.

God you would think I was a Candidate or something. Well no politics here. Just good wishes to her and the little one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY  LAURA

VERONAWALK HOSTS TENNIS TOURNAMENT

I got up early to get ready to attend the Ladies Lunch. It was at Vanderbilt C.C.  There were 130 ladies there, and it was a great time.

While I got ready somebody was playing with the Resume he plans to submit when the request for Candidates for the BOA is requested. I think he would have stayed there all day unless I reminded him to go take pictures at the Tennis Courts. That jolted him.

Mr. Dennis showed up at 11:30 PM and took 50+ pictures. The Team was great and posed for the Team Picture with no problems.

Following that we got some "action shots." We hope you like them. Thanks for playing for VeronaWalk, and thanks for letting us take these pictures.
