Apparently the subject of Home Owners Insurance got a few neighbors interested. There were emails and comments on line. Our thanks to everyone.
One neighbor informed us that Tower Hill Insurance can give a quick quote on line at: www.thig.com If this works one can click and pursue a quote. Thanks for the information and this address.
Regarding ALLSTATE they provided a telephone 642 9797. The are in the process of writing 50,000 policies in Florida, they are rated by A M Best as an "A" company, and do not "guarantee renewals. Discounts for large groups was explored and this company does not do that.
It would be nice if there was an Insurance Committee to research insurance in the community. It would probably be a lot of work too. Our hope is to put just a little information out there for neighbors to "chew on" and make their own decisions. If anyone wants another company listed feel free to send it in.
