HAVE A LAUGH

The "trusty old neighbor" keeps sending those jokes, but we have to filter them to make sure we get a "GP" rating to post for your reading. Here is one we think you will like if we can get it past the "Politically Correct  Censor."

The coach had put together the perfect team for the Baltimore
Ravens. The only thing missing was a good quarterback. He had scouted allthe colleges and even
the Canadian and European Leagues, but he couldn't find a ringer who could   ensure a Super Bowl win. 

Then one night while watching CNN he saw a war-zone scene in the West Bank . In one  corner of the background, he spotted a young Israeli soldier with a truly
incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into am15th story window 100 yards away. KABOOM! He threw another hand-grenade 75 yards away, right into a

chimney. KA-BLOOEY! Then he threw another at a passing car going 90 mph.
BULLS-EYE!  

"I've   got to get this guy!" Coach said to himself. "He has the perfect arm!" 

So, he brings him to the States and teaches him the great gameof football. And
the Ravens go on to win the Super Bowl.

The  young man is hailed as the great hero of football, and when the coach asks him
what he wants, all the young man wants is to call his Mother.
"Mom,"    he says into the phone, "I just won the Super Bowl!"
   "I   don't want to talk to you, the old woman says."
You are not my son!" 

"I   don't think you understand, Mother," the young
man pleads. "I've won the
greatest sporting event in the world. I'm here among
thousands of my adoring
fans."

"No!  Let me tell you!" his mother retorts. "At this
very moment, there are gunshots
all around us. The neighborhood is a pile of rubble. Your
two brothers were   beaten within an inch of their lives last week, and I have to keep your sister
in the house so she doesn't get raped!"

The   old lady pauses, and then tearfully says,... "I will
never forgive you for making us move to Baltimore !!!!

PULTE STOCK

Another month, and we are still keeping an eye on our builders stock. Remember years ago we put a fictional amount of money ($643.) into 100 shares, and then reported how this investment was doing.

Today the stock is up from our original $6.43 to $20.02 per share

Wish it were real money. We will hold for reporting purposes, but if it were real money it would be sold, sold, sold.

All you have to do is step outside, and open your eyes. That's what Janet Weingarten did last night (Oct 25). We thank her for sharing this picture with us.

SUN APPEARS, FINALLY !

This should end all the talk about our canals being low and need water. They are filled !

The area behind our community is also holding a lot of water, where there shouldn't be any water.

Well it looks nice. Enjoy it while it looks good.

QUEEN GOES NORTH

Her Mom isn't feeling well so my Queen left me all alone and went North for a week.

She left me frozen leftover pizza's, and peanut butter.

She will be back this weekend and my diet will change substantially. I'd have more to say about that but she actually reads what I write

BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY

It has been wet and quiet here in the Community. I have to check my picture album just to see the sun. 

Well this Wednesday (9-16) I can finally find some exciting things going on as their is a Board Meeting at 1:00 PM

I thought I saw "exciting" somewhere in the Agenda.

HOLIDAY TODAY - COLUMBUS DAY

Most places are closed today. That ought to tell you something is up, and your neighbors are home.

There was a Naples News outside our house. Looking through the paper it was evident that this was Columbus Day. The Mall had a lot of sales posted.

Now, if I can find a BOGO for an Italian Restaurant we can do this Holiday justice.

Enjoy the Day everyone, and remember the event we are celebrating was Mr. Coloumbus' discover of the "New World" in 1492.

DON"T FORGET SHULA'S

September 23 is the date for our "End of Summer Luncheon". It will again be held at Shula's located in the Hilton on Tamiami Trail. The main attraction is Prime Rib.

MARCO YACHT CLUB LUNCH

It sounds like the last Gentlemen's lunch was a blast.

It was held at the Marco Yacht Club. If nothing else the view was spectacular. The Yacht Club sits at the base of the Jolley Bridge on the Marco River.

The men report they enjoyed their meal and the afternoon. 

Don't forget Romeo Lunch in case you couldn't make this one. They're good guys too.

DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY

Our daughter is doing her 25th birthday today. She had the same number last year. Some things never change.

Cheryl and her family are enjoying life in the Garden State. Believe it or not she has five sons. Wow !

SAFE AT DISNEY

The boss was told "no more driving for a while," and has been checked in for a few days at this Hotel in Disney. Where else do they go?

They managed to take in a show. The guys were pleased to see Mary Poppins in this production on the Movie Ride.

Below the Bosses take a minute for the Disney News feature picture and then on to capture the Mouse. There he is below ! 

Well a couple more days and they will return to the homeland.
