A brand new year. We are still watching our builders stock here. No way of knowing if anyone sold as suggested here a couple of months ago. During 2014 we will continue to follow this stock.
Remember the initial investment was $6.43.
At the end of January it sold for $19.52
That is certainly a Green number and to be appreciated.

SEE THE USA
Do you know these Gentlemen?
They are on the Board of Directors for the Performing Arts Center.
On the 14th they had a Board Meeting. It looks like they had some fun too.
These guys are selling tickets for the show which will be on Feb 28, March 1 & 2. Hunt them down and buy your tickets to support a great show. Cost is $25. per ticket and will benefit charity.
WINDING CYPRESS MAY EXPAND
The new Pulte community adjacent to our development may expand before they even start.
Focus in our community has been on the "Gate" that would be used by both communities, and the pass along costs. Better the 50% of the cost would be paid by VeronaWalk.
Now the County has been asked to approve an increase in the number of homes to be built in Winding Cypress. The plans for this community have been before the County in the past and are not regarded as anything unusual. "There's nothing extraordinarily unusual about it," states Mark Strain Chairman of Collier County Planners Committee.
In their proposal Pulte would add acres to the reserve area making it almost double the minimum required. This land would have to remain undeveloped. This seems to be good for VW.
If approved it will be interesting to see if the cost of the Gate at Winding Cypress changes. The Board meets Thursday morning (today) to decide if Pulte's plan is approved.

COMPUTER TROUBLES
We have not been posting news or pictures for a few days. It seems that NSA sent computer drones to crash the hard drive.
It might not have been the guys in Washington, DC, but we certainly wound up with "No Service Allowed (NSA).
Repairing the problem took too much time. First a new hard drive and then software. We learned several new languages while talking to HP, Google, Norton, Microsoft, and a huckster technical service company. What a nightmare , but we are now up and running.
Remember contributions are welcome.

THURSDAY LUNCH STARTS NEW YEAR OFF WELL
Neighbors who attended the VeronaWalk Gentlemen's Group Luncheon have advised this was another good event, and a great start for 2014.
The chinese restaurant, "Sze-Chuan" by Airport Rd. and US 41, hosted the Gentlemen for the second year in a row. They were glad to have the business, and it looks like this might become a regular location.
We understand the next lunch will be in Goodland, at the Old Marco Lodge.

JANUARY DATES TO NOTE
2013 is HISTORY.
It is now time to start writing those checks with the year 2014.
Well first order of business: Happy New Year to Family, Friends and Neighbors.
The Lady of the House is searching her files.
She will make sure the dates that need to be noted here are remembered. She said "3 grand children this month!" It was a good idea giving her that responsibility.
Send in the name of the Verona Walk resident you want to have featured here and we will post it.
