HAVE A LAUGH

We have a neighbor who now thinks it is his job to send us a joke. Of course most of them we cant publish. This one we can. Hope you enjoy it.

A father told his 3 sons when he sent them to university:
"I feel it's my duty to provide you with the best possible education,
and you do not owe me anything for that. However, I want you to
appreciate it. As a token, please each put $1,000 into my
coffin
when I die."
........And so it happened.  His sons became a doctor, a lawyer, and a
financial planner, each very successful financially.  When their
father's time had come and they saw their father in the coffin, they
remembered his wish.

First, it was the doctor who put 10 $100 bills onto the chest of the
deceased.  Then, came the financial planner, who also put $1,000 there.
Finally, it was the heartbroken lawyer's turn.  He dipped into his
pocket, took out his checkbook, wrote a check for $3,000, put it into
his father's coffin, and took the $2,000 cash.
He later went on to become a member of Congress...

JERSEY JOE TAKES THE SHOW ON THE ROAD

Jersey Joe will be going "on the road again" to perform with the VeronaWalk Chorus.

They will be putting a show on for senior senior's. These people for the most part get out, or let in visitors infrequently. Joe hope his visit will bring a little sunshine to these people.

The Lady in that fabulous picture (see the smiles - both of them) is Kay. She is Joe's number one Fan.

A LITTLE EXCESSIVE HERE.

This news was shared with us by a friend. Regardless of the lady's name we think this is too much spending of our tax dollar. What do you think?

How things have changed! If you're one of the tens of millions of
Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence
wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald
cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that
the benefit package for these servants of "Ms. Michelle" are the
same as members of the national security and defense departments
and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by YOU, John Q. Public:

Michele Obama's personal staff:

One..
$192,200 - Sher, Susan
(Chief Of Staff)

Two..

Total...$2,075,200 in annual salaries - all for someone we did not vote for
and apparently have no control over.

5 are Muslim and 13 are African-American.

There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created
such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the
First Lady's social life.
One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense.

(I'm wondering why there are no guidelines or restraints for this
and other activities concerning our government officials and their kin.)

This does not include:

"Makeup artist"
Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49,

"First Hairstylist"
Johnny Wright, 31,

Both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One on all ALL Trips, Europe included.

As of 11/15/2015 the Obama Family has spent over$1,300,000,000.00
(ONE BILLION, THREE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS) on personal family trips.
They were personal, not political or Government related.

Yes.

The Canadian Free Press had to publish this, perhaps because America no longer
has a free press and the USA media is too scared that they might be
considered racist.

BOOK REVIEW

It's time to buy the Naples Daily News - the Sunday version. In today's  publication we have one of our own residents covered.

Joe Fusco is the man featured in an article about recent book publication. The article gives a nice background report of our hero, and "his book:" -  "Places I Have Shat."

Don't let the title fool you. The focus is Joe's life and his experiences in the Garden State. You will certainly laugh, cry, or do both  - if you just thumb through the book, so maybe that is an activity you might want to do today.

And by the way, Thanks Joe for writing it.

NOTICE TO TERMINATE MANAGEMENT COMPANY VOTED ON BY BOARD

Yesterday, Wednesday the 13th (at least it wasn't Friday the 13), our Board made a major decision regarding the management of this community. They voted to send a letter of termination to our current manager.

Now don't get all excited and have a panic attack. This does not mean a decision was made to change management companies. Pay close attention to that, because we are sure people will talk about this vote and put a twist on it to suit their own personal positions.

What the vote means is the Board may now consider proposals from our current company and additional new companies to manage our community.

In the next couple of weeks the Board will interview candidates recommended by the Contracts Committee and then the Board will decide whether or not to renew the contract with SWPM or offer a contract to a different company. Regardless of their decision our Gazebo and Lake will still be here and offer everyone a nice view and something to make you feel good. This is a great community and will remain so for a long long time.

So for now hang tight and listen to all opinions, but be aware of those with a personal interest in the final outcome.

BOARD NOTICES SWPM OF INTENT NOT TO RENEW CONTRACT

BIG Board Meeting Today. Wednesday, April 13 the Board of Directors will discuss the contract with the current management company.

They have handled this community since the beginning. That is ten years.

Time may or may not be on the side of renewing or canceling. Either way procedure calls for the notice not to renew be sent prior to 60 days before the end of the current contract (July 6).

That notice, along with an invitation to bid, allows SWPM a chance to bid and be offered a new contract. The Board may also decide to offer a contract to another management company allowing the sun to set on our relationship with SWPM.

We will check and advise what action the Board took, and what action the Contract Committee takes later on this Wednesday afternoon (4:00).

RUMMY KUBE

SUNDAY in VeronaWalk is Rummy Kube Day.

The wife and I took to the streets and drove through the VW Le Mans Course to get to Town Center at the appointed hour - 2:00 PM

With the necessary cash in pocket we entered a four person, Class A-! Tournament style game. It was tough. Gabbing is limited and one can get a severe crack across their knuckle if the violate the rule excessively.

Of course the tiles never came out of the bag right, and on top of that we inserted too much brain power to make things move along. The result was it took to 4:20 to lose the gambled amount. Oh I hope nobody from the BOD reads this or the Sheriff as I may have to pay a fine - another .25

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today is daughter number Three's Birthday. We wish her the simple wish below, and hope that all her success continues.

We are very proud of her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CATHY

*****

APRIL DATES TO REMEMBER

We are sure that there is one date to make a not of, and it is so close to the beginning of the month we will just say it here and now.

The person having a birthday is daughter number three. She was born on April 2. In the pictures above she is with her husband, her Mom (Lois), Her Sister, and her grandmother.

Today this young Lady is a successful mother of four. They are constantly at her side during waking hours, and she handles them with absolute love and calmness no matter it be an emergency or something to just cheer about. What a Mom, and, of course, she is "only 25." At least that is the highest number I am allowed to say. Anyway a brief note below says it all:
