BOSS BACK FROM TITUSVILLE

Oh we had a good time in Titusville!. Or should I say, I had a good time.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn. From there it was just a short ride to where all the Cops were setting up their displays for this big show. I thought I heard the wife mumble something that there can't be any Cops on patrol in view of the numbers here in Titusville,  That's OK. The criminals can wait to do their nonsense when everyone gets home.

There were a couple hundred members here and they all brought great displays. Take a look at some of the pictues and you will agree too. If you want to display anything just give me a call so I can purchase, at a bargain price, whatever it is you have in that back drawer.

Enjoy the pics.

Everybody felt safe at the show mostly because of their Glock Insurance Policies usually kept tucked neatly in the belt or in an ankle type briefcase.

Some of the old guys have some real old badges that they love to show. That's me with some of my antiquities. I collect from the NPD and have been at it fifty years. It still makes me smile, and I love to do that at these old shows.

Here are a couple more pictures. Just think after the show all this display "Stuff" has to go back to someone's house to be stored for another year.

BOSS GOING TO TITUSVILLE FOR POLICE SHOW

Our Blogs' Boss and wife will be leaving our web page for a few days. He is going to see his Cop friends at the "Titusville Badge and Patch Show."  The Show will be on Jan 28.

They do this every year, and he takes a lot of pictures and you poor viewers are forced to look at them. That's him below with part of his collection.

He actually won an award a couple years ago so he must keep showing off his great collection. After the Show they plan to get you guys some pictures from the Space Museum. It all sounds like fun.

VALENTINA CT HOLDS ELECTIONS, AND HOSTS POTENTIAL BOARD CANDIDATES

Valentina Court had its annual organizational meeting on the 21st of January.

The current Street Representatives were re-appointed for another year. They are Steve Sillberg, and Dennis Beyer, with Carol Sillberg serving as Alternate.

We discussed communication and encouraged more use of our Facebook Page (veronawalk valentina).

As usual we did some heavy eating, but did not have the Fire Dept appear this year due to unexpected illness. We did have three individuals who are campaigning for "One Verona". They say they will become candidates for our Board of Directors and they want our support. They are: Steve Goldenberg (Former President of the Board), Marilyn Czubkowski (ACC Chairwomen), and Marty Huber (Cafe Verona Retiree).

Check the pictures below. Needless to say we all had a good time.

FITCH RATINGS AFFIRMS COLLIER COUNTY RATINGS, DECLARES OUTLOOK IS STABLE
Fitch Ratings, one of the three largest credit rating institutions in the world, issued on Jan. 17 its rating surveillance report on two of Collier County’s outstanding bond securities. Fitch Ratings specifically reviewed the Special Obligation Bonds and the Gas Tax Revenue Bonds; and the ratings on each of these securities was affirmed at “AA” and “AA-,” respectively.

Fitch Ratings also affirmed the County’s Corporate “Issuer Default Rating” (IDR) at AA+. The report suggested several positive factors that lead to these exceptionally strong credit ratings, including the County’s “solid revenue framework”, “expenditure flexibility” and “strong gap closing ability,” plus a “budgeted 2017 general fund operating millage rate well below the statutory limit.”

The organization declared the County’s ratings outlook as stable.

“We are pleased to receive this affirmation from Fitch Ratings that validates the County’s budget and financial model, as well as speaks to the strength of the County as a positive, long-term investment,” said County Manager Leo Ochs.

The public can access Fitch’s report on Collier County’s ratings here.
