PULTE STOCK

The initial investment was $642. That gave us 100 shares of Pulte Stock. The money of course was fake. We have been following this investment for a couple of years just to see "what if..."

Today it is going for $20.43   per share.

Is it time to cash out ? At least change direction.

HAVE A LAUGH

This joke is from a neighbor who seems to have a ton of "Tyrone" jokes. Enjoy his latest forward to us.
---------------------------------------------------------

None of his classmates liked him because of his stupidity and clumsiness, especially his teacher, who was always yelling at him, "You're driving me mad,Tyrone.”

One day Tyrone's mom came to school to check on how he was doing.

The teacher told his mom honestly, that her son was simply a disaster, getting very low marks, and that she had never had she seen such a stupid boy in her entire teaching career.

The mom was shocked at the feedback and withdrew her son from school and moved out of Detroit, relocating to Cleveland.

25 years later, the teacher was diagnosed with an almost incurable cardiac disease. All the doctors strongly advised her to have heart surgery, which only one surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic could perform. Left with no other options, the teacher decided to have the operation, which was successful.

When she opened her eyes after the surgery she saw a handsome young doctor smiling down at her. She wanted to thank him, but could not talk. Her face started to turn blue, she raised her hand, trying to tell him something but quickly died .

The doctor was shocked, wondering what went wrong so suddenly. Then he turned around and saw our friend Tyrone, a janitor in the Clinic, who had unplugged the life-support equipment in order to connect his vacuum cleaner.

Don't tell me you thought Tyrone became a heart-surgeon.

RAINS HAVE LIFTED THE LAKES SOME, LOOKS GOOD

May is gone, and the rains have started. I think there have been a few days of heavy rain and thunder starting in late after noon.

This usually means a couple of things like no more car washes until late September, back off on watering the plants, and the Lakes look good.

Check out the picture above and you will see what we are talking about.

NEW ORLEANS NOT FORGOTTEN

We only posted some of our pictures to New Orleans stopping at that fabulous World War Two Museum. Below are the rest.

Above we visited the place where the floats and displays are made and stored. Lois got to play Queen and I got to watch the Cats. Glad they don't bite. Later I got to play with the Green Monster while looking for Cinderella.

At the end of our trip we met Dennis' cousin Rick. We went to a Cajun place and had food that absolutely great. The place was called "Mulate's"

Below are a few more featuring the Steamboat, and some sites on land.

DAUGHTER RETURNS TO JERSEY AFTER NICE VISIT

Our Daughter, Denise, visited with us for a few days last week. She has gone home and back to work.

We enjoyed seeing her and James if only for a few Days. Earlier in the year she gave us quite a scare with a January Car wreck busting a few ribs and breaking a vertebrae in lower back.  She still seems to like speed but allowed Mom drive the Airboat.

Mom just looks like she was driving. She enjoyed her day on the water, and we all enjoyed some Grouper later.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

This beautiful sunset was caught over the Gulf.  We were heading home from a Celebration of Life when it was showing on our starboard side.

Our Cousin lost her husband Bob a couple weeks ago, and this memorial was the first opportunity family had to come together and express sympathy and support for Debbie Burns.

WORLD WAR TWO MUSEUM VISITED IN NEW ORLEANS

When we decided not to buy one of those mansions we took a visit to the National WW II Museum. It was well worth the visit, but you need more time to see everything. This museum has been designated as New Orleans's number one attraction. Below are some pictures showing a few exhibits.

Because we visited during the Memorial Day Holiday we had an extra special treat for us. In the lobby the US Marine Band took their seats and under the Master Sergeant, pictured below put on an amazing performance.

THE BIRTHDAY

I think I would have remembered to post something about this birthday even without "My Queens" note back on June 1.

Today is daughter number one's big day. Officially she is 25. SHE IS THE Queen for the Day, and pretty happy about it.

Time seems to just stand still for all our kids on the subject of birthdays. I guess we don't want them getting older, and dragging us along too.

Well let me just conclude by saying

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENISE

LETS BUY A MANSION

More Pictures. What can I say. I like traveling and I like taking pictures.

One home I get a chance to share those that I like the best with my friends. Here are some from a couple of the old Plantations we visited.

These plantations were called "Laura" and "Oak Alley." Enjoy them.

That is "Oak Alley" below. It meets my approval and I am ready to make the purchase. There is no problem with the woodpeckers, the view is great, and I will even let Tru-Green cut the grass.
