It is time to get a new dryer when your old one looks like this
Our Little Girl in New Jersey dealt with a very hot dryer yesterday. It burned a good portion of her basement. The New Providence Firemen left some marks on the wall, from their hoses and other equipment. That did not deminish the fact that they responded very quickly. When they left there was a smell of fire throughout the house, and a feeling of being ill in the stomach.
Cathy was fortunate to smell the smoke. She shut the door to her basement when she saw flames and smoke. She then got the Kids out of the house first; then called 911.
She calmly gave her address, and told firemen exactly where to go. A couple minutes longer and this would no be a story with a happy ending.

God knows we need our "Kids" to be on their toes all the time and watch out for problems. A basement appliance fire can be very serious!
