NEVER FORGET 9-11

The best pictures to use in this article would be that of a large American Flag, or maybe one with The Thirteen Stars, or maybe just an old cannon. They weren't available, but the mental image of those figures, as well as others, comes to mind looking at this simple tower, and remembering today's date - September 11th.

This picture was taken a couple of years ago. The tower is plain, and stands in quiet mountainside setting. It is just crumpled iron wielded together to hold a few simple bells.

The iron work was once part of buildings, that symbolized to the World, what a great Country we are. Those buildings died on SEPTEMBER 11, 2001.

The date should "just jump" at you. It was the day we lost the Twin Towers. This V. W. Resident recalls the day vividly. It was filled with all sorts of emotions: Fear, concern, hate, sadness, love, relief and so on. This year those memories will surface again. Along with the personal reflections, there will also be some nicer thoughts making us proud to be a citizen in this great Country.
