THURSDAY NIGHT BOARD MEETING RESULTS IN A NEW TOOL FOR TRAFFIC LAW ENFORCEMENT

After a nice visit up in the Garden State where we enjoyed beautiful Fall colors we returned to our abode in warm Collier County. It was nice to leave the doors open and just enjoy our view.

Less then twenty-four hours (Nov. 6) home there was a Board Meeting. This one was at 6:00 PM at the Town Center. About 150  residents were there.

The minutes are now complete and can be viewed on line. That is the official site. The next meeting is Nov 14.

Of the items discussed on the 6th the Board agreed to enter into a contract with the Sheriff for traffic enforcement. Under the terms of the contract our Community has agreed to contract a sheriffs officer for a minimum of three hours at a time to patrol and enforce traffic laws.

The Board may select to use this means of enforcing traffic rules from one to as many times as desired with a three hour minimum. This enforcement tool can be very effective if utilized in a carefully planned manner.

We support our Board entering into this contract, after all we want  safe drivers in our Community. Take it slow. There is no need to drive like you are being chased by bad guys as pictured below on movie  set.

You can do your part, and be a good driver.
