NEIGHBORHOOD THEFT

A Good Neighbor has reported that while they were away someone removed parts of their Outdoor Cooking Grill. It is not known exactly when this occurred.

There have also been reports of cooper tubing being removed from air conditioning units.

Our Safety Team has advised us to let residents know so they can "Keep their eyes open." If you observe something that looks out of the ordinary "Call it in."

Who is this safety team? Can you verify the theft of air cond parts, the police show nothing in regard to that in this community. It could be very hurtful to spread something like this if its not valid. The theft of grill parts seems odd, could they have been misplaced? Usually the entire grill would be taken, not parts.

Thank You "Hawk Eye" for your comment. Because it is you we "triple checked" with the victim, and they maintain the story told to us is correct. As to the advice it is merely what neighborhood watch teaches us.

Thanks Dennis but the police have nothing in regard to this alleged incident. Wouldn't you call the police if your a/c unit was tampered with? I'm still curious, who is the safety team you made reference to?

Based on comments to us the article was appreciated and considered helpful. It is not our intent to check, especially verified reports, with the Sheriff.

Neighbors comprise our Safety Gang, aka team etc. We know we are NOT "THE" Safety Committee. They are a fine group, but separate and distinct from us. Up to now there has been absolutely no confusion. Please keep it that way.

If you want better News Buy the New York Times, or relax and just Be a Friend, and a Good neighbor !!!

You're missing the point. I am a good neighbor, and I know you are too, but spreading something that has no fact isn't a good thing for anyone. You and I are homeowners here, every time a negative comment comes forward we de-valuate our property. freedom of the press is a wonderful thing, as long as we don't hurt anyone by using it. Enjoy your weekend. The rocks are a good idea, a few others in the community have done the same thing.

Bruno, Bruno Bruno,

You sound like someone on the campaign trail. Are you running for a political office?

You would get our vote if you showed some concern for the issue. Instead you use attack the truth, and pontificate with self serving comments using words or phrase like: "hurtful," "alleged incident," "negative comment" and this is really good "de-valuate our property."

Property values are ruled by economics and market conditions, not this blog.

You are welcome to participate here, but when you do act like a friend and neighbor. For now the discussion on this story is being terminated.
