GARDEN PARTY

I took my Queen to a "Garden Party" last night expecting to see Ricky Nelson.

Town Center was not Madison Square Garden on Saturday Night. Mr. Nelson only appeared as a memory. "Mary Lou" didn't get to say "Hello", but a lot of her friends did.

The guy filling in for Mr Nelson looked like an exiled French Diplomat. He certainly can't be described as a Teen Angel checking Can You Hear Me.

Known to residents as "Jersey Joe," the diplomat reached into his song list to dig out some great golden oldies. He did a fabulous job bringing back memories. Dick Clark would be proud.

At one point the memories took me back to 1956. With the help of some Jagermiester I thought I saw Jim Lowe, dressed in green, ready to sing that great old song "The Green Door."

Sad to say there were no guest artists on the stage, but the neighbors that performed made the tickets to the show a bargain. I saw the seeds for new groups to appear on American Idol. There they were: The Novaro Sisters, Bruno and Garfunkel, and Jerry and the Real Pace Makers.

As the evening reached a conclusion The Big Bopper took he microphone, but didn't need it as he belted out his favorite classic. It could have been the best performance of the night, but we need to sleep on it before buying him a gold record.

As always a great night.

Hello Bruno,

This is the Lady responding. Glad to have you participate here, and glad you have improved your punctuation. Now you need to focus your comments to the posted story. Surely talking about a good time, fun, smiles and laughter does not make one a "wise butt." y

Constantly tossing a name around does. My spelling and punctuation has always been good, its sometimes called a typo. Lets refrain from pitching names around as though its a game. I'm sure we don't want to bring up the past, so ask the editor to behave please. N.J. was a long time ago,m lets try to leave it there, it could cause embarrassing.

Bruno, Bruno, Bruno

The name belongs to numerous individuals. "YOU" do not have sole ownership of it .The individual to who it refers in these posts is a friend and is not one bit offended by articles on this blog. "HE" knows how to enjoy life and have a laugh now and then and act. "HE" is not lacking confidence in himself, and "HE" does not feel like "HE" is being targeted or picked on in this blog. At least that is "HIS" opinion.

Your comments are exactly like those that got you in trouble on the job. I know you all too well, and you enjoy tossing around things to try to agitate people. N.J. was long ago, care to reminisce. I'm not the one that would be embarrassed.I lack absolutely no confidence in myself, I made it back there, much unlike yourself. Play your little game all you like.

Mr. Bruno,

The original post here was about fun and laughs with neighbors. You inject yourself into the story line presuming to be a friend. You then seem to look for a debate and go round and round about non-existant subject matter. It's time for you to put a smile on, and take a little ride around the Lake.
