Boy, how fast a year goes. It seems like only yesterday I was getting cozy with "Fay." She left me with a few broken branches and a very full lake.
Now it's mid May and another hurricane season starts in a few days (June 1, 2009). Just in case V.W. Resident forgot a few things from last year, he attended a seminar at Town Center on Monday April 20.
For the most part it was a refresher class, but, having sat through "Fay," refreshers are a good thing. WINK News sent Scott Zedecker down to visit us and give us his preseason warnings which were well received.
Now it's time to get in the old jeep and shop for emergency supplies. Can food is good, and so is peanut butter, and snacks. Lets hope these little wind storms take the trip well away from here.
