YOUR CERT TEAM PRACTICES TO HELP

Neighbors who have volunteered to be a CERT Team were out practicing last week and one of the neighbors caught a couple pictures up near Town Center by the Lake.

Looks like they had a good turnout.

Reports that circulated the community indicate that, although there were no survivors, the golf cart was fixed, and the team made it home with plenty of time to enjoy their day. Thanks guys for your efforts.

If there were no survivors why do we need this group?

I made a generous donation to this team at the town center, you fix a golf cart, but have no survivors? What the hell is this, I was told this team would help, not fix golf carts and let victims die.

Thank you for your thoughts on this article. Your reaction, however, might be too tough.

The TEAM consists of your neighbors. They gave up their morning to test their skills so that they would be a real help to the community if/when needed. This is why they were thanked for their efforts.

No Survivors and "Golf Cart" reference was not to be taken literally.

Again it should be said to the team: "Thanks guys for your efforts."

Not to be taken literaly? Its what you posted, how else should it be taken? I understand they gave up a day to practice, and its appreciated, and support has been shown in monetary consideration. To brag about a golf cart being fixed, but no survivors is absurd. do you train on golf cart repair, or life saving skills? My reaction is not too tough, I react to what I read. To whom may I direct further questions about this group, I see you wont give a direct answer.

Lighten up Bruno!!! Seriously...Get a life. These people volunteered their time to practice so if there was ever a REAL emergency they will be prepared to help. I bet if you had an emergency you would be thankful to have one of these guys help you. This was a PRACTICE drill!!

Laura, I fully comprehnd this was a practice session, but are we saving golf carts, or people? Im aware youre not a Veronawalk residnt. Ive asked for someone to speak to in authority, why cant the author answer for himself? I've doinated money to this group, and appreciate their existance, but Id like an answer.
