Sandy hit New Jersey and New York like a heavyweight's right hand - HARD. The picture of the Tanker is from Staten Island. The Beach shot comes from Bay Head, NJ.
We have several reporters (My Queen and our daughters) on the scene telling us about this disaster. Electric is out for most areas, and will be out for days. Flooding is the rule near the rivers and Atlantic Coast. Inland trees and wires are down, and some roads are blocked.
Public Transportation is also down. Buses can't move, trains are not getting around in NYC, and the airports are experiencing problems that they have not seen before. One reporter advises water on airport runways, from flooding, has caused flights to be cancelled.
Our Chief Reporter advises She will not be able to get out until Saturday. This is due to difficulties in Newark, at the airport. She said a generator is helping them at the moment at the house in New Providence, NJ. We will See Her soon. As pictures are received they will be added on this post, so check back for changes.
