It is official. We are now in Hurricane Season.
Our Safety Guy says: "You should not have a problem immediately, but take the time now to develop your 2012 Hurricane plan."
Know what you are going to do before the take cover warning comes. Know where your shutter "wing nuts" are located. If you don't own one now is the time to purchase a wing nut fastener like the one pictured. Better yet get one for your battery operated drill/driver.
While our homes are well built, and have shutter protection for the windows, when a hurricane is coming it is not wise to ride it out. The smart thing to do is to: Get out of town. You can always come home after the storm !
