PULTE STOCK

Even in the heat of summer our eye is still on the builders stock. Remember our imaginary investment of $6.42. It has grown while my hopes of getting a job with the company has diminished. Worse is the value seems to be on a downward trend.

When last checked the stock was selling around  $15.98

Too bad we can't really sell. I could use the GREEN, and our Stock Analyst doesn't like the direction this stock has taken. It is a good time to make the decision to sell or hold. 

HAVE A LAUGH

Thank God for my neighbors with a sense of humor. Here is one of their recent forwards for our posting. Hope you enjoy it.

A balding, white haired man from Chebacco Lake Florida, walked into a jewelry store this past Friday evening with a beautiful much younger gal at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend.

The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring.The man said, "No, I'd like to see something more special."

At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. "Here's a stunning ring at only $40,000," the jeweler said. The lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. 

The old man seeing this said, "We'll take it."

The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the man stated, "By check. I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon."

On Monday morning, the jeweler angrily phoned the old man and said, "There's no money in that account."

"I know," said the old man,  "But let me tell you about my GREAT WEEKEND!"

BIG BIRTHDAY PARTY - 86 YEARS AND STILL STRONG

This past weekend we left VeronaWalk and took a long trip up to Apopka. WE got near Disney, but believe it or not, We did not stop.

The purpose of the trip was to celebrate the "Old Guy's" uncle's Birthday. Russell was 86. He sounded and bounced around better then some couch potato's we know.

It was a fun time. We saw a lot of family members who we normally don't see, and that made the day great for catching up on the past.

This really does look good.  The young lady is a frequent visitor to VeronaWalk. Therefore My Queen, and daughter (Mom), say I must publish this picture of Cowgirl Cali.

She is our shy granddaughter. Can you believe that ?

LAKES STILL LOOKING GOOD

Late August - Our lakes are full, and, from our prospective, are looking good.

We last wrote about a problem home, but that does not represent the total picture within this community. These problem houses are a drop in the bucket in terms of a problem. That is a positive thing.

Instead of looking at those problem houses, it is time to enjoy the water views, and nice bridges that we have here. They make a great view.
