REPORT FROM "OUR ADVANCE DISNEY SCOUTS"

We are getting ready to do a trip to Disney. Hard to believe, right?

The "Old Guy" just wanted to be safe so He had this great (So he says) idea of sending friends up a couple weeks prior to our trip. Their mission was to make sure all the Christmas Decorations were in place.

They have submitted their report. All is well. The place not to miss is Hollywood Studios, and a wonderful light display. We will get some pictures for you all.

HAYLEY & GUNNAR CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK !!!

November is a busy month. Not counting the "Old Guy" there are a couple of grand kids worthy of noting this month.


They are:  Hayley 21st, and  Gunnar 17th (Today).  

They are close enough to note today.  "We did not forget".  Hayley is in her British Shirt, and Gunnar is pictured with his friends. He is in the middle.

POOCH OF THE MONTH

This is "November's tribute "Pooch."

Last year we took pictures of the dogs that participated in the community event called: "Smooch a Pooch." We have selected one dog each month to show for your enjoyment here.

They frequently post news regarding tennis events. They sent us some notes from their TENNIS CONNECTION  to share with all of you.

COMMUNITY CELEBRATES VETERANS DAY

On Friday, Nov. 9 2012 The VeronaWalk Community celebrated Veterans Day. The actual date for this holiday is the eleventh.

The Town Center was filled. Everyone was treated to the presentation of our flag by a Color Guard from our Sheriff's Office. After that the treats continued with several patriotic songs sung by our own Chorus under the direction of Jersey Joe.

All Veterans were self introduced and received  a loud ovation  from friends and family.

The event concluded with the sharing of baked goods made by our Ladies.

CAPRICCIO'S LUNCH

The "Choice of the Menu" and a fabulous price is what made the VeronaWalk Gentlemen's Group lunch a huge success on Wednesday (Nov 7). There were over four dozen residents in attendance. They all managed to squeeze in at the table. Judging from the numbers it looks like "Season" has arrived.

The guy's have been doing a lunch on the "First Wednesday of the Month" for quite some time. Their numbers just keep on growing. This is attributed to an agenda that focuses on "Food, Fun, and Friendship. 

OUCH ! MY FINGER HURTS

 

Ouch ! Look what I did to my finger !  This had nothing to do with (Hurricane) "Sandy."  Poor Conner!  He looks like it hurts no matter what or who was the cause.

Mom "always tells me to shut the door."  "She should have also told me to get my hand out of the way."

The lesson has been learned. At least we hope the lesson is learned. Kids don't hear that well.
