SOME PICTURES FROM ST PETERSBURG

Take a trip and then it follows you get busy, busy busy. Finally we havea few pictures from St Petersburg, Russia to share. Here are the typical Church and canal:

The picture below is a long shot of Catherine's Palace. This was one huge place, and filled with gold and ornate items. The Ministry of Tourism was so glad we showed up they had a band playing:

Part of our tour took us to Peterhof. There were no shortages of Gold 

at this location near the sea.

GENTLEMEN'S LUNCH AT CARABBA'S

Despite many Gentlemen being  Up North,  and the switch to a Thursday there was a good turnout for the VeronaWalk Gentlemen's monthly Lunch.

It was held, July 5th, at Carrabbas. As usual this fine restaurant provided a great meal for only $15. Lasagna was featured, but the Chicken Marsala was also a popular choice.  

Next month the lunch will be at Senior Tequila's. This one looks to be a little different with a hot Mexican Menu.

DOUBLE SUNSHINE & VERONAWALK CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY

This is the most important holiday we have. It is formally "Independence Day."  We went on the "Double Sunshine" and watched the fireworks off Naples Pier.

Our Gang enjoyed the night. It took a few minutes to think about what it was all about. Singing "God Bless America" sure helped, and was a  particular treat.

Carrabbas will host the VeronaWalk Gentlemen, our community's first men's group, on Thursday due to  the Holiday.

JUNGLE QUEEN

The lady of the house contracted Bronchitis and was forced to remain at home while the "Old Guy and his oldest Grand Daughter took the nice ride to Ft. Lauderdale


This trip was planed a while ago for the purpose of going on the Jungle Queen. Hayley enjoyed. He said the jokes were the same as he heard 45 years ago, but he still laughed.


Neither one wanted a haircut on the seawall, but were amused to see it. Hope you like it too.

JULY DATES TO REMEMBER

There is one birthday and one wedding that need celebration during this month. 

The kids will be on their toes for sure, but the "Old Guy" may need to be prodded along with a broomstick.  We will see.
