LOCAL SHOW: JERRY LEE LEWIS

The Bosses, after their Disney trip, went on the 10Th to the Naples Philharmonic to see an old time Rock N Roll Show. They got there early only to find No Parking. This was a sellout performance. That was a surprise.

Frankie Ford and Jerry Lee Lewis are both in their seventies. Both Guys were able to walk out to the stage without any help and sing their songs. Mr. Ford even impressed the audience by showing everyone that He did not need a microphone. He concluded by doing "Sea Cruise" to everyone's delight. Click below to listen.

Jerry Lee walked out, straight to his piano, and sang several songs. He didn't have much to say, but did a good job singing and playing the piano. He concluded slamming the keyboard cover a few times and finally appeared to be looking for matches to set it on fire. Well in memory the piano still burns. Listen by clicking below

POLICE SHOW EXHIBITS

Of course the "side trip" to Disney gets priority when you travel with two ladies who really are not into badge and Patch shows. In fact they really are not deputies, but they did a great job at the show with our New Jersey Exhibit.

Despite the ladies focus on Disney World, the true Badge Collector had his day. He not only got the opportunity to speak with other collectors and share "war stories" about the job, but observed some fine displays.

In addition to the patches there were hats, uniforms, guns, patches and more. We share a couple of pictures in this posing. Note the fine uniform from the Canadian Mounties, and the deputies holding this fine old gun and badge. They can't wait until next year.

GOOD ADVICE FOR US AND WASHINGTON

ABE LINCOLN, who gets mentioned quite often in the news today, made a great comment years ago. We like it. Hope you do too. Here it is:

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

BOSSES BACK FROM DISNEY

It seems like "Disney" is the only place they go. Well the Bosses spent three days in Disney and now are back.

This good neighbor is glad to hand the keyboard over to his neighbors and welcome them back. I learned that the "Old Guy" had a great time in Orlando and even drove one of the cars. Too bad he wasn't paying attention. He drove the car thru someones window.

The Lady had a great time too, as did their VeronaWalk friend. They stayed well away from cars and trucks. Check out those smiles. Guess Disney is a bundle of fun at all ages.

GUY'S LUNCH AT LELY

The "Guy's" from the neighborhood met on Wednesday at the Flamingo Club and had another great lunch. There were 35-40 "Guy's" present. The Club did a great job getting the food out and just making sure everyone was happy.

FITNESS CENTER GROUP DOING A BENEFIT

Neighbors in our community are doing a fund raiser to purchase new equipment at the workout area in Town Center. They hope to keep our Fitness Center (Gym) in a State of the Art condition. The above is their poster. Sorry we can not make it bigger.
